His dad called me early this morning and I'm just now starting to talk to my family and friends. New the guy for 30 years and worked with him off and on for around 17. We went through some hard times together but the good times were as good as they get. We were in each others wedding and we were there for each other when our children were born. You, rookie and Kim go catch a big one buddy......

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 "To every thing there is a season; and a time to every purpose under heaven. There is a time to be born, and a time to die...."
The first of these is history....we know our birthday. The second is mystery....
What matters is what you do with Jesus in between the two.
Tomorrow will be a tough day for this good man's family and friends....I've made that trip with way more folks than I care to think about.... let's keep praying. They need it.

I believe even the sky over Gulf Shores and Orange Beach couldn't hold back the tears today :-(
We said goodbye to an amazing young man who had positively touched many folks as was evident at his service.

I didn't know him personally, but I did meet him one time while flounder fishing on the pier in early February. He introduced himseld to me and talked for about an hour just about cobia fishing and pompano fishing. He talked to me about my future with college and was just an interesting and neat guy. He was very knowledgeable. I am really sorry to hear that he passed. I just realized after talking to another fellow from the pier that he was the one that passed, the name was so familiar. I am really sorry to hear and I know he's in a better place. May you catch all the Cobia you can!! And he's in God's hands now.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
