You would have to be really hard core to go fishing this weekend whether the pier is open or not---too dang windy to cast, even a trolley rig, too rough to feel a bite and too muddy for anything to bite, anyhow, except maybe a remora or catfish.
On the other hand, I enjoyed fishing in the rain yesterday. It ran most folks off the pier, the fish were still biting some, and my rain gear slowed the water getting through just enough so it could warm up to near body temperature before it soaked all the way through my clothes. See y'all next week sometime.

Don't yall let that pier blow away just cause I hope to get down in 2 weeks,,,
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
