At what height of seas or waves does it become practical to fish from the beach or pier? Others have posted that speed of water clearing is variable. The wind dies down a lot quicker than the seas. Maybe the best thing I'll get to do down there is help someone clean up their yard. Should I bring a chain saw?

It's official, Nate is now a Cat1 Hurricane... Yeehaw!
My son went to bed thrilled that his 1st hurricane shares his name.
Now if one of our oaks just doesn't fall on the house I'll be thrilled.

When we were last at GS we had a house about 1/4 mile east of LLP bridge. I noticed that from sea water to lagoon water is not very far in that area, does the storm surge ever wash over from sea to lagoon?

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
