And why the heck is anyone hoarding .22 ammo? Its not being considered for any restrictions by even the most whacko gun control nut-jobs.

it is the caliber of choice for the "preppers". used for subsistance hunting, it will kill everything from rats(you'll eat :eat: em if you're hungry enough) to deer.

yep....a well placed 22 does wonders and will put meat on the table cheap....no prepper here(maybe a hoarder) ....but sure glad I took care of the grankids plinking a few years back on the cheapBill..............

Re: grim outlook
Went by a gun shop yesterday afternoon. No 9mm, .45 or .22 to be had in Little Rock yesterday, and very little of any pistol caliber. But, I got an extra can of powder, and I have enough brass, bullets, and primers to do me for a while.
Chile, I got into reloading off ebay and craigslist about a year after the last run on bullets in '08. I bought a press and scale kit for around $100....then bought a better one for the same price including a bunch of brass, primers, bullets, and dies. With all the selling and swapping, ended up getting the equipment for free. So, keep your eyes peeled in the months ahead and you may get some deals. Right now, though, a lot of the internet sites are out of brass and bullets, too. When I started, primers were the issue. I had to bum some because there were none to be bought anywhere.
As long as we don't lose a conservative supreme court justice, I doubt much is going to happen. Personally, I'm praying health and safety for five of the nine justices every day. One sickness, accident, retirement, or death in the next four years and we are really in trouble.
Words of wisdom, same thing I've been saying since Barry had Kagan & Sotomayor, both unqualified and blatantly biased, if not outright hostile to the 2A, placed on the bench.
Just one more and they will overturn every ruling on the 2A and other Rights, effectively gut our Rights as we see them.

Die if you must, but die on your home turf with your face to the wind, not in some stinking hellhole 2,000 kilometers away, among people you neither know nor care about.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
