Well the world renowned weather prognosticator "Guff Shores Gus" saw his shadow yesterday.
That indicates 6 more weeks of winter which bothers absolutely no one considering the ulta-mild weather we have experienced so far this season ;-)

Nothing but 60s and 70s forecast for high temps thru the coming week.

Lowest temp predicted is low 40s one night this week.
Might be a Febraury spawn this year...

There will be an arctic blast in early March to kill all the plants that have sprouted out, but it won't last long. If it hadn't been for those three days of hard freeze last month, I don't think the kudzu would have died back this year.

Still NO freezes in the forecast thru mid February and a LOT of 70s in the forecast.
A far cry from the weather experienced on this date (Feb 13th) in 1899 when an arctic airmass gave Mobile, AL it's all-time record low of -1 degrees F.

This pic was taken of folks on Fairhope Pier after the water in the bay was blown away and frozen...

I have a funny feeling March is gonna be horrible. When its this warm this early, throw in a cold front and boom.
