It's been 10 years since the pier opened never saw one patrol boat around the pier. It's been 10 days since the pier closed and already seen post of 2 patrolling the pier.

Maybe they are just doing some bottom scanning, or maybe they want to be sure nobody else does.

People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.

If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

It's tuff ta single out my favorite day at the pier but last year when I landed the 38.5 king ranks high. The beautiful Samari rendition on my kitchen wall is a constant reminder. Watching others wrestle those hoodlums up onto the pier is equally rewarding. Who can forget when Steve brings in a bigguns and Steph is whooping and hollering for her Man?

Best day on the Pier (to date).

My best day on The Pier was Easter Sunday April 2019. Hooked up with my first King on my new trolley rig. Ironman was there to help with the drag, gaffing, and rail hauling as the sharks were coming back for another bite. You could fit 1/2 a basketball into that belly bite! Big thanks to Bill and the Good Lord for that day! This was my forth trip of my new Pier Fishing adventure. Thanks for all the advice and help that all you friendly "People of The Pier" have given me.

The best days are yet to come - That's the way that I look at it! I'm glad that some of our non-resident friends are able to be very successful.

Ken you have a great memory. All firsts in the same week. I am a lucky guy. Tater netted the Sheepie for me and Mark netted the Big Black Drum 24.8 lbs. What a great experience to find this new adventure and meet some really nice people at 74. Like Yogi said, "it ain't over till it's over.

Enjoyed it as much as you. I wasn’t as successful pier fishing, but it was a great spring trip.
