    Thanks, Haywire!
That beach is just a few minutes from the place we're staying at, and perfect for an evening stroll with my Baxter. He loves the water, and here he is after Christmas on the shore of Lake Michigan.

We'll be down mid-April. If you see us walking around, please say Hi. I might have a beer to share.

Great info. I have German Shorthair Pointers. We live in the woods and just started taking them on vacations.

    Nice to know.

    Thanks

Awe!!! We just got a Springer about 5 months ago... VERY Hyper little turd. She has been a real handful, but is learning to hunt and flush for me daily. Hopefully she will make a great dog for falconry. These things love water, and this is the only puppy i've ever seen scale a 8ft chainlink fence to get out of a pen.

I suggest adding a top to the pen, one of my GSHP pups I sold came into season and Tom woke up to find a fine coon hound in the pen the next morning, pups loved to chase fur and eat birds.

Digging this post up, because we're coming down later this week, and bringing the dog. Haywire - hope all is well!

The spot is close to where we stay. Any other suggestions are very much appreciated.

Thanks for the good wishes. I'm at my hunting camp trying to cut up some downed oaks for future firewood. Hoping the fishing gets better---for both of us.
