I contacted Brunson and they are currently out of nets but have stainless rings on order. They advised me to check back in a couple of weeks which is fine. They warned that shipping would be very pricey so I will look at picking it up when I drive past on a future Louisiana trip. The net is 30" which is perfect for what I want and they will dip it for me.

As Ironman pointed out, most nets from the store are bad about tangling your hooks, while the Brunson Net & Supply dipped nets seem to actually repel hooks---easy to get untangled.
I don't even remember where I got my first net, but the only original parts are the two steel rings Brunson has dipped it twice and one of the first things I did was put on a rope that was larger diameter and easier on the hands when you are netting my big fish for me. By the way, that dip they use does a great job of rustproofing the rings if yours, like mine, isn't stainless.

What sort of price did they quote for the 30" net, dipped and ready to go? Sounds what I need to add to my wish list.

Like has been said, "you get what you pay for." I don't mind paying a price for what is good.

Sounds like a must do next time I'm in town. Is the net dipping something that they can do while you wait or will I lose my net for a good bit of my trip?

I wish I left mine behind like suggested by a few, so it would be usable day 1 when I returned.....I'll have to count on others for netting, till the few day drying process is over and I can pick it back up from Brunson's net company
Bill..............

I guarantee that you don't want to pick up your newly dipped net until it is completely dry. The first time I had it done, it was still a tad tacky when I went to get it and the lady up front said it would be a good idea for me to wait another day. In my great wisdom, I decided to use a big piece of cardboard, and it worked just fine. The problem is that I let the net touch the side of my car (which was new at the time), and the little green mark is still there---tough stuff, nothing I've tried will take it off and still leave the original finish.
You know I'll be glad to pick it up and hold onto it for you until you need it.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
