Just put a floor in the pier cart, used race car body and it worked great. Don't know how to post pics sorry.

Re: Pier Carts and Other Contraptions
I hope this works, the pics aren't great but it'll give yah an idea.
I still haven't figured out how to keep the front and back from curling up without riviting it to the rails of the cart. I'm also thinking about wrapping it around the side rails.Last edited by FinChaser; 04-13-2013 at 05:00 PM.

Re: Pier Carts and Other Contraptions
The dually cart is mine. It is a major improvement over a single set of tires in sand, but still is not what I would call perfect for surf fishing. The plastic balloon tires make a long sandy trek more bearable, but it serves its purpose for now. I am sure that many of you are constantly tinkering/improving/completely ruining your setups looking for the perfect combo (like me). I am currently looking at adding dual tires to the front also and who knows what else.....

Re: Pier Carts and Other Contraptions
I might take that dually idea into consideration, looks cool, boy I can see it now! dually carts line up at J&M!
I figure it this way, if everyone in the world had a lie clock, whose hands moved once every time they lied. You could use any politicians lie clock as a ceiling fan.

Re: Pier Carts and Other Contraptions
I read a post awhile back on a method of locking rods and gear to a pier cart, but can't seem to find it now. Will someone please post some pics or comments on your locking system?

I now have it fixed to hold 12 rods, (2 GRANDSONS) and 8 of them are in a straight line, so I've added two 36 inch dowel rods with eye bolts and Locks at each end to attempt to stop some one from casually walking by and taking a rod and reel, or taking them outa the back of the truck if I stop at a store for a few minutes.
Its possible to lift the wooden rods enuff to get the rods outa the pvc pipes and take all 8 at a time.... BUT.... he would have to have balls to walk off with that arm full, and brains to have thought of doing that way.... BUT I have it tied down with 40# seven strand for now. Any other ideas... a bike cable lock would work also. May add that for going into the store on the way to the pier.

Here's another attempt to post a picture on here. This should be a picture of a flounder caught in NOVEMBER.
