I just wanna know who y'all think is the best fisherman on the pier...
We all have our good days, and others we can't catch our ass with a trebel hook. Some of us only target certain species, but the "cat in the hat" targets fish that a lot of us overlook or don't want to take the time waiting for a certain fish to bite.

Edited. Peaches is right. There is no answer to that question. However there are several that stand head and shoulders above most....
:run
I gave up the notion of trying to figure out who is the best at anything that by being the best is viewed subjectively. I know I'm good and highly knowledgeable in many aspects of fishing, but I don't even have to look outside my immediate family to find a father, a son and at least one brother that can out fish me 9 out of 10 days. All that said, I know it isn't me and I'm okay with that fact. I don't want to be better than anyone in particular, just better than I was the last time and better than the fish all the time.
I agree with everyone we all have our days. Can't wait for spring to get out there with all of y'all!
Fishing is so full of variables it's hard to say, and everyone has there techniques, not to mention some people fish more than others. We all have good days and bad days, but there are some very skilled and versatile fisherman on our pier, and all seem to have their strong points
Also some may not catch as many numbers of fish, simply because they target larger ones,
IMHO this question is impossible to answer haha
I agree with everybody, but if I had to pick one it would be Harley. That man had been, done and seen it all pretty much when it comes to fishing. A close second thought would probably be David aka Pier#r. Buy I think he he cheats a little. Those fish see that hat and get scared into submission. :poke1:
LOL!
I remember someone asking me that very question on the old pier several decades ago.
And there were some awesome fishermen (and women) who taught me and a lot of other folks plenty about fishing and probably forgot more than we know now.
Most have gone to 'the big pier house in the sky' now, but a few of those fishing 'legends' are still around (HR and Hollis come to mind).
Still when I was asked that question many years ago I was at a loss to say who THE best fisherman on the pier was...
About that time a young kid of 6 or 8 years old caught a common fish (something mundane like a hardtail) and started squeeling with delight in the accomplishment of landing his first fish. :yay:
Then it hit me, the BEST fisherman on the pier was the one having the most fun!
:headbang: :yippee:
