My family had a respectable deer season this year. My son got his first bow kill (doe), my wife got a very nice 9 point (132 3/8 inches) and I got 7 does and a decent 9 point.

Very good bucks, and good for you in taking out the does to keep the herd balanced (and the freezer full).
We're blessed with a good place to hunt. We hunt a friend's farm where the deer eat up his peanuts and watermelons. He wants us to kill all of them but we usually take out about 10 does a year before the rut and usually get some good bucks in January. I usually don't shoot any bucks less than 120 inches. Let several walk this year that should be shooters next year. I am having my wife's buck mounted for her. Kind of hesitate though because there's a good chance of her getting one bigger next year.

Sound like a place I would like to hunt, lots of meat for the freezer and chance to shoot a slammer. But I'd rather have the does for the freezer!
