Spanish outfit
What do you think the best spanish rod and reel would be . I'm thinking for throwing bubbles and Got-Cha lures ? Appreciate the input .

7 ft. med/heavy rod, Shimano Solstace 4000fi reel, 12 lb. mono. I'm no pro, but this is what I use and it works great. Went to J&M and talked to them about what I would be using it for and that is what I left the store with. Can't go wrong by getting advise from those guys! :headbang:

I personally like a penn 4300 on a 7ft med/light rod. This allows me to throw light jig from 1/4oz all the way to 1oz and the jigs have plenty of action while working it. The rod blank I use is rated 6-12lb test and I usually use 6lb test on it. I have caught big spanish up to 3lbs on this, as well as bonita. This setup lets you enjoy the fight of the fish without just winching them in like they are a bait on a sabiki rig.
