Looking for a good 560L or Shimano Baitrunner 8000. Anybody have one they would like to sell?

I have several dozen of each but the real deal is what DRH did to his live liner he picked up the other day.He took out a few parts and made it where you could reel it while in bait runner mode but once a fish hit you manually turned it off.Sorry I spilled the beans Dave or if you rather keep it to your self nobody will figure it out................

Re: WTB 560L Slammer or 8000 Baitrunner?
He already mentioned it on another thread. Gonna get with him for a little corrective surgery on mine.
This is from Penn
When originally developed, Penn developed the Slammer Liveliner with a manual feature that required the angler to flip the Liveliner drag lever to engage the fighting drag. This made sense as it allowed anglers to easily control their bait without engaging the fighting drag. However, angler after angler, captain after captain, inquired as to why Penn did not have an automatic liveliner feature. Penn has always prided itself on building products that served their anglers. Now Penn offers the Slammer Liveliner with an automatic feature.
Question then becomes: why have the engage lever at all if all you have to do is reel? Mayb I'm confused.oke1:
Screw it. Let's ride.

Re: WTB 560L Slammer or 8000 Baitrunner?
No problem John, I was in the process of creating a thread about "a different kind of manual conversion" Sunday evening. Well long story short severe agina, two trips to the ER, a failed stress test and a stent in one of my coronary arteries put that post on hold. Another one of the reasons I hadn't spilled the beans is that the parts came out so easily and I couldn't document the steps necessary to do the job right. I went to take out the parts and felt I needed to remove another part temporarily to get to the two unneeded parts and wallah they literally fell out of place as I was removing the part that was in the way. It was as if those parts knew they didn't belong in a reel I was about to start fishing with.
I already offered divedeep a chance to try my converted 560L to compare it against his new stock automatic 560L, so he could decide if he wanted to modify his. If anybody gets a 560L and wants it modified please let me know. I want to advise, assist, do it for you or take pictures/shoot video of the process. I want put the information out, not only about why this is an awesome mod, but how anyone who can operate a screwdriver and a pair of needlenose pliers can do it on their own.

I put the parts back in. It worked fine but DRH has developed some problems with his as time has gone on. He thinks he has a fix but I didn't want to take a chance.
Screw it. Let's ride.
