Hey, guys ive posted several times on here looking to buy a penn 706, I'll be heading down to the pier 7/21 if any one has one they are looking to sell looking for a greenie but would entertain the thought of a 706z. Looking to spend in the 180-200 range if you know of anyone with one lemme know!

Not owning one, to some pier fishermen is about the same as a Sneetch not having a star.

I could care less where to find one. If I did come across one for sale at a decent price, rest assured that I would resell it. One piece at a time.

Re: Looking to buy a penn 706

I'm not a lefty, but my son is. I almost bought a 706 back in 1983 because I had been fishing with other spinning reels that I had converted to bail-less and liked the idea of a reel designed without a bail, but hated the feel of it. There are several reasons why I would part out a 706.
In no particular order here are a few of my reasons:
    >I would get a better return on my investment.
    >It would be one less reel in circulation for a newbie to get a hold of. I feel I would be doing them a huge favor by doing so
    >Those who already own a damaged 706 could keep their reels going just a bit longer. I feel that doing so isn't doing them any favor, but it will make them happy and that is reason enough.

Re: Looking to buy a penn 706

If you don't find something you like hit me up. I have a penn 706z the I would be interested in moving if the price is right. The reel is in excellent working condition and has new 20# mono. It's ready to be fished im just not a fan of bailess.
We call it catching not fishing!
