I've seen some of the chinese x-raps, lets just assume for the sake of discussion, that the action is similar to a true xrap. They come in some pretty wacky colors. However, the hot neon tubes on the bubble rigs are pretty wacky also. So, the question is, when the water is "average" clarity and the fish are feeding "normally", does the color matter or is it the action? Someone said they like the hot pink. Whats the wildest color you have seen work consistently, or work at all?

The orange with the yellow belly seems to do well. I saw enough blowup and caught at pcity last year that I invested in some. I did good with the new long cast sinking models. Great when the south wind is howling. The guys at Navarre all wanted the bunker...looks a lot like a cigar minnow.

The absolute best place to buy X raps is J&M tackle in orange beach of course.

When I can't make it there, I order from amazon....distant, distant second to J&M.

I buy the cheap Basspro brand XPS ones for around $3.99 each. On sale now for $3.19. Makes it a lot easier to "swallow" when that 20# jack inhales it and takes off for the horizon or a shark cuts you off.
