    X-Rap

Which size X-Rap and color works best at The pier? I will have to order off line since none are in stock here in Cullman.

I can speak for Spanish not much for King fishing though. I've caught bunches of Spanish throwing a bubble with a #8 behind it with about a 2-3 foot leader of 30LB. seven strand.I use either the Black and Silver or the White one. The #10 and #12 will also catch Spanish and will also Kings so don't use too light a rod and reel combo you might loose the fish of a lifetime using too small a reel. Colors will vary Silver with just about any color back works well.

I think that a good number of fishermen like two colors, primarily: pink and olive.

Do you use the X-Rap jerk bait behind the bubble?

Yes that's about all you will see on the pier in different sizes from the #8 all the way to #14 for Kings. Have caught some what everybody calls schoolie Kings on the #8 behind the bubble also. Also caught quite a few on the H20 jerk baits in shallow or the deeper models from Academy Sports doesn't hurt near as bad when a shark grabs your Spanish or King when hooked.

AT $15 to$18 a pop it could get painful pretty quick. I have caught Spanish on clarke spoons behind a bubble, but not on a regular basis. Either catch quite a few or none at all. Thanks for the good advice.

Get you some different colored rubber sunglass holders at Walmart and cut them in about a 2 inch length and use them behind your bubble. You'll see how good they work if the pier ever opens back up.

I have some in several colors and wear one on my sunglasses as a backup. Yeats ago I used the McDonalds straw behind the bubble.

Does the same thing but will never crack and won't get you in trouble for taking extra straws from McDonalds.

Bomber makes a lure called the Bomber Long Shot. Comes in 5, 6, 0r 7 inch options. I ordered a couple of the 7 inch models because they were $9 each instead of XRap $16, The 7 inch model weighs 1.75oz and was bigger than I realized when it came in. Looks like it will work but won't be in PCB till Oct 1st. Suppose to cast fairly well. Anyone used one and how did it do,
