    Wire to leader knot

I'm pondering whether to use the Albright Special or Yucatan Knot to connect my 10 lb. mono to 30 lb seven strand leader (I don't want to use a swivel cause I don't want my Yo-Zuri lost due to cut off at the swivel.)

    Any opinions?

I wouldn't use the Yucatan for the simple fact that it actually twists the leader and would put undue stress on the wire. Stick with Albright

J&M has some flat base paint coated swivels that seem to work so far for me to keep getting line cut offs at the swivel.

The Albright (properly tied) is about the best to compactly join mono to wire.
But the lure is gonna 'tumble' some and with a running fish add a lot of twist to the line without a swivel of some sort in your connection.
I often put a strong (but small) crosslock style snap swivel at the terminal end of the leader to eliminate line twist.

It makes changing out your lures easier too ;-)

@dublthret: Thanks didn't know haha. I'll probably stick with the Albright and the do what Pier#r does with the cross lock snap by the lure. I like that idea...

@countryboy1983: are you referring to the bill fisher swivels, cause they seem much nicer but a nice Matte finish?
