Where are the some good locations?, I'm new to the area.
I am new to this forum, decided to join to get some tips on areas or locations as i will be comming down to camp for 7 days and i have never been to gulf shores before. We normally visit St. Andrews park but they were slap full of reservations. I am excited as i stated earlier, this is my first trip to gulf shores but I do not know where any fishing locations are. I am looking to target just about anything edible, but would love some tips on Flounder, Reds, Spanish, Specs. Whatever is biting during my time down there. I have already purchased my License, so I assume i can fish anywhere that doesnt require a permit. I have recently procured a Penn 7000 Conquer and I have it on a 7.6 foot green carrot stix saltwater rod. I have other rod/reel set ups but I am anxious to use this bad boy, as it is my first rod and reel I have ever spent any significant amount of money on. Any info would be greatly appreciated, and maybe I might see some of you guys.

My favorite areas are the state park pier of course, and when it warms up a bit surf fishing in the FT Morgan area. From the pier you can fish for all sorts of different things. The pier you just need your saltwater license and 8 bucks for the entry fee. I am sure some of the other members have more suggestions as well.

So this 8 bucks lets you fish all day? can you leave and come back later without having to pay again? or is it 8 bucks per trip to the pier? Do they offer a weekly fee? Like pay for the week and get to fish as much as you want during that week?

Welcome to the forum man! like they said, if you like pier fishing, gulf state pier, if you like surf fishing mobile street (fort morgan road)
I figure it this way, if everyone in the world had a lie clock, whose hands moved once every time they lied. You could use any politicians lie clock as a ceiling fan.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
