where to get right-off-the boat seafood?
First of all,I do plan to go fishing! As a matter of fact, I love fishing more than eating fish. But for the family, just in case, where I can find fresh seafood right-off-the-boat? I heard that somewhere along the coast there are places you can buy seafood when the fishing boat coming back to port. Is there any place like that in GS Orange Beach area?
Thanks!

Blalocks is good but you also cant beat going to Bon Secour and stopping in at one of the dock-side stores.
Also, Rousses in GS has great local seafood, especially shrimp, at almost if not as good a price as the places in Bon Secour.Carl

Rousses is the best grocery store chain on the Gulf Coast, period. Owned by a family out of New Orleans.

There is a local guy that docks on Bon Secour Bay and sells whatever shrimp he caught overnight. He is usually sold out by 830 to 9am every day. I think his name is Calloway. I do not have the addess but it is about six miles from hwy 59. Go northbound on 59 and turn left immediately after you cross the high bridge off the intercoastal waterway. I seem to recall that he has a sign by his driveway and you follow the driveway to the water where he docks.
For a wide variety of fish and all other seafoods I like to go over to Pensacola to Joe Patti Seafoods. it is an experience just to go there and look at all he has and you can see the workers dressing fish in the back room Google it for directions.

Billy's out County Rd. 10 to Bon Secour has just about anything you could be looking for. They will also steam your shrimp plain or Cajun and all you need is some of their horseradish and ketchup and your ready to eat.

Rouses used to have fried chicken as good as Publix but the last few times I went in and bought it wasn't good. Tasted like it was fried in old oil with too much breading.

Billy's or Safe Harbor Seafood in Bon Secour, it is well worth the 1/2 hr. drive from OB. Fresh and the price is right!
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
