where do the fish go?
Sitting here in our rental house on Ft. Morgan as the waves continue to build and the rain pours down. The question I have is where do the fish go during storms like this? I was assuming they would head for deeper water until things blew over. But that is just an assumption. Part of me wants to try and throw a line in the water just to see what happens if we got a decent enough break in the rain bands. But if there is about 0% chance of a fish even being out there in the churned up surf, I won't mess with it. Also, if the only thing out there would be catfish, I also won't mess with it.
7 years of coming here for vacation. It's always a roll of the dice and this time we went 7-out.

There may be some whiting or reds or drum (and most certainly hardheads) 'hunkering down' in the shallower troughs where the wind and waves aren't as strong.
For sure after the worst is over and the surf begins to settle they will be roaming around looking to dine on whatever hapless creatures were uprooted by the huge surf...
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
