Whens a good time to come
I haven't been pier fishing in a couple of years, but I am getting the itch again. I used to go to Navarre but I have sort of soured on it due to the "culture" that exists there. I thought about trying Gulf Shores this time, although it is a little farther than Navarre from where I live in Atlanta. I have heard a lot of good things about Gulf Shores but have yet to go there. I have always found that October is usually the best month for pier fishing. I am usually trying to catch Kings, Spanish or Reds, Trout. Is October a good month for Gulf Shore, is November too late in the season or is the water still too warm in September.
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

I like the people at the Gulf Shores Pier and I like the fishing, too. October is my favorite month. My advice to you is to search the REPORTS sections from previous years. You may get a good sense of, from year-to-year, what the King/Spanish bite was like in those different months. There aren't a lot of skinny water reporters, which accounts to the lack of discussion of slot reds and speckled trout. But October is a good trout/reds month.

October is great. November has been warm the last few years, but it could be different this year!

Not during shrimp fest, unless you like crowds and traffic

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
