    Wheeleez kit

Just got a pier cart that had the standard tread tires on it. My question is if I install a wheeleez kit on it would I be able to alternate the balloon tires with the treaded tires without switching axles every time? Or would the balloon tires hold up on hard surfaces? Or is there a good alternative that works on both surfaces?

JS, first check the tire axle "bore" diameter of your original tire compared to the wheeleez balloon tire, if it's the same which I believe is 5/8, then you're ok on that area. Secondly, the wheeleez, many of these but not all, has an 8 inch tire width compared to original cart tire which has only around 4 to 6 inch width. So, the wheeleez will use a longer axle about 4 to 6 inch more, than the original axle. Balloon tires are fine on any surfaces. Just my 2 cents.... tight lines!

The balloon tires will work on any surface ,but with the thinner walls they are subject to being punctured by hooks and splinters on the pier .
Just a word of caution .

I would NOT recommend running expensive Wheelez tires on anything but sand, except for short distances, like parking lot to beach.
They do not have the wear resistance of normal tires and puncture easily.
I see them on the pier and it makes me cringe.
You can switch out axles/tires in minutes and save $$$.
