What's the deal with fishing the pass?
So I finally broke down and joined facebook (still get a sick feeling just saying it). Found a group that is about fishing perdido pass. Now I have fished the pass, but only once have I walked a section of wall. Mostly I went to Florida Point and casted bass lures. So what's the deal with fishing "the wall"? Are most people casting out from the wall or fishing it vertically? Is this mostly a bait and wait type of fishing?

Depends on the target species for me.
If spanish mackerel, ladyfish etc. are the target I use lures (spoons & jigs mostly).
I fish vertically for mangrove snapper and flounder this time of year and in mid winter for sheepshead.
It can teach an anglers LOTS about current speed and fishing tactics.
And if you don't get hung up occasionally, then you aren't doing it right ;-)
Hope this helps!

Definitely bring extra tackle..
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
