what line should i rig up
Heading down there fist of march...dug out my got cha lures..any suggestions what line i should use on my light rods,and my medium rods...last time i was down thereva remember hearing about a regulation going into effect .to prevent catching sharks..just want to be up to date and legal..thank you in advance..

How long are you staying?
Gotchas are primarily targeting mackerel which usually are just arriving here in early March.
Most folks like throwing them on 8#-12# mono (and fish for sheepshead with the same).
Just keep in mind lighter line will give you more casting distance but can increase the likelihood of a cutoff or breakoff as you lift a bigger fish from the water.
Light tackle (for whiting and pompano) can be 6#-8#.
No shark landings are allowed on the pier.

I use 8# on my 2500 series reels and 10# on my 4000 series. 15# on my king rods.
