there are bas catfish and bream but there are also saltwater fish and crabs

There is a good resident crappie population in the upper lakes.
The western end of Lake Shelby (near the weir @ Hwy 135) can get a bit 'salty' at times.(RETIRED) mostly.

I know red fish are in there. This weekend while camping i caught 3 slot redfish fishing on the bank with peeled shrimp.

Specs, Flatheads, and Bass is all I've ever caught! I heard when Ivan came through a man caught a Tarpon out of there!!! :yay:
