What I have been up to recently
Well this wrestling season started out with quite a large change for myself. I was terminated for being a "Racist". Well rather than letting it get me down I picked up and moved on to a new home. I was welcomed with open arms by my friend and new mentor coach Coy Hunter. Ironically he coached at this school when I wrestled in Junior High School. For the first time in my coaching career I felt like I was part of a family. I went into this season with one goal and one goal only, and that was to destroy my old team. Unfortunately in the first tournament we entered we lost head to head agains them. Once we took that loss the kids were extremely upset and thought they had let me down, in reality I knew we weren't ready for them, but I used it as fuel for the fire. This past thursday we demolished them in a head to head dual. The only wins they got were due to forfeits. Well to put icing on the cake, last night we won second place in the city championships and in the process we knocked my old team all the way down to fourth place. Oh and my record still stands for training the number one heavy weight in the city for the third year in a row. Here are a few pictures of our team members who placed in the tournament, as well as the team photo at the end of the tournament.

165 pound Champion, First year wrestling
If you notice this young man is wearing a knee pad on his right knee, well two weeks prior to this tournament his kneecap dislocated and slightly tore his ACL while wrestling an opponnent that he defeated. On the way to the seed meeting for the tournament thursday we got a call fom him saying his doctor had cleared him for the tournament. Under that knee pad his knee is taped, padded, braced, and supported. He won all three of his matches in the tournament by pin fall and the last match of the knight he used his injured leg to put a young man in a tight cradle. The gym erupted when the official slapped the mat.

Love seeing people working with our youths, sports are so important for them in so many ways.
Great Work! :headbang:
As for the racist crap, let me guess... Reverse discrimination from a protected class?Ragnar Benson:

I love the sport of wrestling and will support in any way I can. As for the racism thing, it's all under the bridge now after the mudhole we stomped in them

The funny thing is all the coaches at the new school found it funny as hell. My second week there the AD got me a gift. It consisted of a white bed sheet and a pair of scissors

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
