Thread: this weekend

probably gonna come down again this weekend, what should i expect to catch, and do yall think spanish or kings will be there yet?

There's a slight chance a stray spanish or two could be caught but I would spend my time fishing the end for sheepshead with live bait fished strait down along side the pilings or fish the shallows for whiting and pompano using dead shrimp.

In late January I caught my limit of pompano on a jig are that still catching a lot?

I went on saturday from 7:30 to about 5. seen probably 6 or 7 landed and heard of about 3 more when i was at the end sheepie fishing. hope that helps!

Pompano? whats that?? oke1: seriously though. I can catch a sheepie all dang day but Im snake bit with pomps :wall:

at least i managed to catch a whiting on my own rod last weekend and not get one handed off to me!! oke:

i'm going to the pier on spring break, last year i was snake-bit on sheepies, till I broke out Ye'ole snatch hook! that fix things up real quick! hahaha :headbang:
