    the weather

We have been getting absolutely slammed with rain and storms here in Dallas over the past month. Last night alone we got over 3 inches of rain in just a few hours. All this rain and the constant flooding and swelling of rivers makes me wonder whether Gulf Shores is getting the same weather and if so, is that causing all kinds of fresh water to make its way into the Gulf? I thought I read that lots of rain usually results in poorer fishing a few days later when the water makes its way down to the gulf.

Sorry to see all the death and destruction over there. We've been getting similar rainfall but we are used to it and have the terrain to absorb it. Wont really effect the Gulf that much.

Headed down this week, from central AR, as well. Thinking the same thing.

It's okay - Pop-up thunderstorms are pretty much the norm. It's no biggie, just head in before the lightning gets anywhere close!

Scattered Tstorms is just that, scattered pop-ups, you've a chance of getting a shower and just as much or better chance of scattered clouds and sunshine.
And theses storms usually move through quickly.
