Unhappy We lost a 'good one'

Sadly, I report the passing of a longtime friend and fellow pier fisherman Dr. Fox Metcalf.
Dr Fox was a regular fishing the Dauphin Island Pier and the Gulf state Park Pier on his day off (usually Wednesday) for the past 30+ years.
He ALWAYS took time to talk with me, ask about the family, etc.
What a fine man and beautiful example of a true southern gentleman.
He will be missed by many! Today is a sad day for me as I learn of this news...

Tight lines and bent rods my friend!

So SORRY for your loss Dave.

It always hurts more than we can show when a friend leaves us.

    Take Care.

This is a real shock to me. Enjoyed fishing with him any time he was on the pier. A real gentleman and loved fishing as much as anyone I knew.
