Wait a minute! , dumb sh**!!!
I was sitting here tying some flies to use as drop flies to catch bait while fishing off the pier. And then, I thought, what if there isn't any bait off the pier in mid Winter..... Ask the Pier Gods, is there any bait to be caught around the pier during the mid Winter? Will drop flies work to catch that bait, if there is any around? I intend to put the flies on a 2 - 3 loop Sabiki rig. Will that work?
Let's say a prayer for BDL1969, He may need it, if they got all that snow.Last edited by flyguy; 11-11-2014 at 06:57 AM.

It has been my experience that you need to carry whatever bait you want, with you. It is already getting scarce.
I'm so disappointed. I thought this was addressed directly to me.

Ironman, where are you muskie fishing? Aren't you around Columbus OH (or maybe I'm messed up on pain killers). I know the fishing has got much better up on Erie since I moved to TN in 85.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
