    Very windy 5/22/2017

I havent got a chance to post so thats why Im posting late.

My dad, my brother and me went to the pier around noon. Could barely open the truck door with the SW wind.had some brined shrimp to fish with. We fished from a little past the first octi down fishing on the east side. If I threw to the west side, My 2 oz lead
would have come back and and hit me in the face. Waves where coming up onto the pier in some places. Any thing lighter than 1 oz would fly in the air like a kite. Got bites but could not tell bites from waves.
Surf fished yesterday. Saw big giant sand crabs and knew I had to go fishing.
Bites but nothing big enough to get a 2/0 hook in their lip. Trying today on the pier. Any suggestions??.Tommorow we go home. Thinking on coming early july.
P.S. The guy at the tackle shop seemed nice, but he did try to get my dad to rent a rod.
