Thread: Update on Gulf Shores Trip

Well the four of us fished hard from Thursday to Saturday last week. The first day we fished the sea wall and jetty with David. Didn't have any luck but did see a few sheepshead being caught. David was a nice guy and really taught us a lot. That afternoon we fished the beach at the condo and caught a couple Manta Rays. On Friday we got up at dawn and fished all day in front of the condo. Managed to catch two pompano in the morning and quite a buzz. On Sat we decided to fish the morning in front of the condo with the hopes of picking up a few more pompano. No such luck so we headed to the fort for the rest of the day. As we were getting set up a guy walked by with 2 black drum and a redfish. They were good size and caught in the morning. We had fun catching stingrays, 1 skate, and quite a few catfish and another buzz. All in all a fun trip with good friends. Btw, the best meal we had was at the Tin Top.

Glad to have the opportunity and just wish the catching would have been as good as the weather 8)
