Iornman look up gravedigger jigs. I have that mold and it maybe kinda the action you are going for with sanding down the nose. Shad darter heads also have some great action. Only problem with those 2 is they are light wire hooks and no collar. Could easily mod for heavy wire if need be. I will be down there next week and plan on trying both those heads with light wire. If they work I may mod my mold.
I could make a mold out of bondo. I'm sure i could make a prototype out of a piece of wooden dowel. It wouldn't have to be hex shaped I don't think. They're just slow to pour.
I don't see why the spear head with tapered nose wouldn't act like the hex head? I sure will find out .....only did a few to try.....but hey the spear head work anyway, just looking for some differeng action hopefully
notice the angle away from the tie eye, like a gotcha. The shad heads taper the other way. The gotcha is designed to jig up and not dart down.
Looks good. What is the theory of the hook? I've never seen one like that.
