Think it'll catch anything?
I got bored. Found a saltwater jig head. Figured I'd make a buck tail jig. I only had natural buck tail. Added a few strands of shell pink marabou and gold polar flash. Decided to add a chenille body. Not sure how I like it. Crappie lures have chenille bodies but I don't know that I've ever seen a saltwater jig with chenille (why is that)? Anyway, it's something to do while I'm stuck about 8 hours away from casting distance to the beach.

Probably work. But Spanish and blues might cut the chenille pretty quick.
How many oz is it?Carl

I've seen fish caught on wrenches, cellphones, silverware, a 25˘ quarter and other objects.
Put it in front of a hungry, fired up fish and it'll get ate.

Hey SWA, I too got bored during the Winter and made my own from jig heads. I've caught Spanish on them, but they get shredded and torn up by Blue Fish

Maybe the wraps could be made with wire instead?
Sorta like a haywire twist around the body of the lure.

Found another jig head. Left the chenille and marabou off, and didn't trim the buck tail. Added a bit more gold polar flash.

If you are really bored, I have a bunch of jig heads I could send you.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
