Thanksgiving fishing
I can only come to gulf a couple times a year and was wandering what I might expect to catch Thanksgiving week. Lazy R.

Hopefully the whiting will still be biting in the shallows.

Pier#r had an awesome article published on the fishing report for November on the Alabama gulf coast in Beach Bits pg 12... It covers the different types of fish you can expect to catch, where and how to look for them from the pier and surf as well as the type of tackle you should use, different types of bait that work and even what type of tide is best. They have a Facebook page that I'm sure you can find it on. If it helps, we filled our cooler with whiting and some pompano from the pier in a short time earlier this week later in the day with fish bites n fresh shrimp on a Carolina rig with a size 1 circle hook on medium light tackle. Tons of fun and good eats too. Fried and grilled. Good luck!!

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
