Tackle box contents
Ok this may be a stupid idea for a post but I thought that since I am only in my third year of surf and pier fishing and since I have a long way to go and alot to learn that my journey of knowledge might could help another beginner someday.so my idea is for people to post the contents of their tacklebox(you dont have to post any secret lures or baits)just stuff you feel every angler should have or you can post the entire contents of your box.again this is a learning tool for me as well as other newbs in the future.(...mostly me <-<)
p.s. if you feel this is a stupid idea just say so lol.

Looks like you know what you're doing. Might I include a towel for fish slime/blood. Sunscreen too, cannot stress the importance of that. I had to go to the dermatologist yesterday. never thought at 27 years old I would have a biopsy on a spot on my face.

I'd have to add #10, #8 and #6 treble hooks for Spanish and for different size baits, as well as 10# and15# wire braid for the little hooks and 40# and 50# mono or flouro leader. A couple of different sizes of split shot are necessary, as are some small floats. The little treble hooks are great for trout and sheephead, too. You'll need a good fillet knife and one with a little more backbone for the larger fish and bonier fish like bull reds. While you are cleaning fish, a cut resistant glove is awfully handy. I'm gonna stop here because I have crap in my tackle box that I've forgotten about, can't find or am too bashful to tell you about.

Super glue for stitching
Fingernail clippers
Dramamine
Pre-made leaders
Splitshots again, as much as I buy them I can't ever find them.
Last but not least, CORKS!! Plenty of CORKS, bring enough to throw at the anticorkers!!

LOL X 2
I've four tackle boxes, 2 for salt and 2 for fresh, both have so much extraneous crap in them.
Add...
Bubble rigs, with various color straws for them... Them Spaniards get picky about colors.
Assortment of Looney Jig colors.
Extra spool of line, just in case.
Head light for night fishing.
A couple antiseptic wipes and bandaids.Ragnar Benson:

I didn't see a filet knife and knife sharpener, could come in handy if you catch a fish you plan to eat.
I would add #2 and #4 trebles in 3X or 4X for king leaders. Good strong wire snips if you catch yourself with a Gotcha.
Polarized sunglasses are a plus over standard shades.
Like Haywire and Chile said, I have stuff in my bag I have forgotten about too, but amazingly others remember what I have in there and when they ask to barrow something, lo and behold, it is usually in there somewhere.
Hope this helps

also a cheap measuring tape is a good investment if your cooler doesn't have measurements on the lid, never hurts to be sure that you've got a legal fish.

What are you using 2/0 and 4/0 trebles for ???
Give a googan a king, and he can eat for a day. But teach a googan how to kingfish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
