Surf Fishing Seaside Beach And Racquet Club
Enroute to OBA. Any suggestions or tips for surf fishing at or near Seaside Beach and Racquet? Yes, I've read the August 101 thread. I plan kn visiting the pier and looking around. Thanks y'all and Roll Tide.

That is like 'downtown' OBch ;-)
with the GSPark Romar Beach access right next door.
Get out there early (5:30-8am) and late (5:30-8pm) as you will likely be covered up with swimmers and beach walkers.
This is from Phoenix V just 200 yards west...

On calm mornings I luv throwing a topwater popper first thing, then go deeper as it gets lighter.
Look for points along the beach to cast from in am (incoming tide), and breaks in outer sandbar in pm.
If fishing isn't good there, try Perdido Pass just 3 miles to the east...
Hope this helps!

Fished a bit this morning on 2 hours sleep... ummm yeahhh fly fishing surf is a bigger change than with a regular rod lol
Went to J&M, Blake wasn't there but Carson dropped knowledge bombs on me. Mainly go to Fort Morgan lol. But some other changes to gear like leaders and fly suggestions.
May tip kver to the oier and sling some flies a few hundred yards from y'all. Thanks for the help

This looks like a prime fly fishing location....
Good times, Good friends, Great Beer. You can buy all three - But it's always better to invest the time to make your own.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
