Stocking Up
So I'm prepping for our trip down in September by stocking up on lures, leaders, lines, rods, reels, etc.....
I've got some X-raps, Gotchas, and buck tails. I've got double drop rigs, sabikis, and tube rigs. 10, 12, 15, & 25# mono, 30# fluoro, and all of my rods are braid backed. Pyramid sinkers, circle, kahle, and treble hooks in multiple sizes. Beads, jig heads, Gulps, and swivels. Short of some wire leader, can you fine folk think of anything else to add to the arsenal?"Yes I am a pirate, 200 years too late" - JB

I'd grab the fishbites. Actually, if I don't enter Baldwin Co. with them, I head straight to J&M.

The fishbites at J&M are better quality. I think they store theirs refrigerated until they go on the shelf.

You could pick up a splitshot assortment.
Ya never know when they might come in handy.
I bought one of those transparent plastic mini boxes with a lot of compartments to keep my small hooks and weights sorted out.

In the past, I've found it convenient to keep a ribbon rig on an older rod that I don't intend to use for any other purpose. It has been used by my fishing pier neighbor a few times as well. A decent size cross lock snap makes it easy to put on when I get there and take off when I leave.......to prevent tangled messes.

Grab some different size spoons also.

Swivels and spoons I have. 60# mono I'll grab, as well as some bubbles!

If you have a battery powered bubbler in your bait bucket like myself, spare batteries are a must for bull minnows and shrimp.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
