State of the Pier Cam
Ill be down this afternoon with my Frogg Toggs. I love fishing in the rain.
Any early reports? This is one of those times when we need the pier cam up and running.
EDIT: I split this off of Saturdays report. Basically, we can get the pier cam back up and running for
Here is the deal. We have two options.
1. Lease the camera for $250/month
2. Buy the camera for $3500 and pay hosting

10-4 Good Buddy, all we need is a generous member to donate $3,500.00 to buy it and we be’s in business. I guess we could pass the hat or see who all would be willing to pony up a monthly subscription fee to view a perv free pier cam 24/7. Hosting ain’t free. Any takers?
Just thinking out loud on a rainy day. ???

Re: State of the Pier Cam
Although the pier cam was nice, I couldnt see spending $3500 dollars to look at a web cam. No offense but with all the other cameras out there, those prices seem ridiclous to me.

Re: State of the Pier Cam
That's about the full list of area cams Sam.
Now IMHO, THIS is what a pier cam should look like...

Now THAT is a nice camera. Almost real time too.
Did the State pay for the first camera we had at GSSP, or was it privately owned?

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
