I started 3 nights ago. Tie a few every night after work. Hope I have enough for me and my old man.

when it's good I had no problem going through 12 in a day, and found myself tying more on the pier....some days 3 is enough....so 12 x 30 days....I need to get busy
my eyes are getting old..... hard to find the little sleeve hole for the swivel crimp

I think single strand twist wire is much easier
I figure it this way, if everyone in the world had a lie clock, whose hands moved once every time they lied. You could use any politicians lie clock as a ceiling fan.

Oh I agree, but still like 7 strand for coiling up and having extra on hand ready to go in the box

I like both but I prefer 7 strand, IMO its just easier to deal with when tying to small swivels for Spanish. Spro 50lb swivel, 18lb 7strand, figure 8 knot for Spanish and you be good to go. Ironman, you got me wanting to try gigging, there were a lot of ppl trying it in the lagoon when we were setting out traps Saturday night for blue crabs. Never saw anyone get one but I overheard a lady saying her kid got tail slapped in the face holding a flat fish. BTW, the crabs are stacked up in the lagoon right now, got these on the outgoing tide. caught 12 but released the undersized and egg-bearing females.

I'll be out along the beach, on Orange beach....from the jetty to most likely 4 seasons pier and if I do good well might do it more often...I got a double light system coming (led)with a 12ah hour battery to be put in the back pack....made my gig similar to the one pictured in the gigging post I made of Hollywood's big girl for the contest over in Pensacola

I think, I will be having a net in tow (on my back) for any blue crabs I might spot while wadding too

.I'll have 100 in the light and battery(75 light,24 battery) for this fun and adventure hopefully get some meat out of it for dinner
