Spanish sardines?

Anybody been able to catch any Spanish sardines around the pier with a sabiki lately? I have been out there the last 2 days and have only been able to catch LYs. Is there a certain spot on the pier where I would have a better chance to catch them or is it just a crap shot?

I caught a few off the NE corner of the octi.

LY, threadfins, and sardines were all plentiful today.
