Check the recipe section. I have one there. Probably on the third page.

I also put a recipe there for spade fish. It is a versatile fish that is good many ways. Easiest just dip in buttermilk roll in seasoned corn meal and deep fry for 3 or 4 minutes until browned to desired color.

Scale, gut & throw on some salt & pepper and bake whole.
Fillet, salt & pepper, dip in flour & fry.
Either way, fantastic eats.Carl

Agree with CarlF, especially if on the small side. Scale/gut/bake. Had one with the grouper last month we baked, and it was delicious!

Another note: the key to baking fish is high heat. I bake mine at 425 f.
Fish comes out flaky and the fins are crispy!
And don't over cook!Carl

Scale, gut and head.
Place on foil, rub with olive oil, some lemon and salt.
Wrap and place on grill over high heat, make that sucker sizzle!
5 minutes on each side, depending on size.

Don't take the heads off, there is a pile of meat on the head!

has anyone ever tried sivichi with spadefish? my favorite
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
