Some guy, spearing reds...
Tuesday at about 2am? I noticed a guy with a head light running up and down the beach under the pier.. he had a spear in his hand and appeared to be after reds and specs. He chased them for a long time... Then I heard a boat motor fire up and a tiny boat with the same color light left the beach area east. I looked for the guy but he was gone..
I'm not sure if the guy and the boat are related... and I am embarrassed to say i'm not sure what the laws are regarding spearing fish.. So I figured i'd ask..Nurse -- Father -- Falconer

It is illegal to spear, or snag gamefish.
Redfish and speckled trout are both gamefish.
This scofflaw needs to be busted!
PLEASE report ANY illegal (or perceived illegal) activity to AL MR as soon as you observe it...
