Soft plastic octopus
Was playing in the shop this morning and made this octopus. It is soft plastic and just a thought that has been on my mind for some time now. I was wondering if it had any potential of being a good cobia bait. It is 5 inches long. Before I spend the time on making a mold of it, I would like some opinions on it.

There's only one way to tell - Put it in front of a cobia to see if it gets bit. I'm assuming that a lead-head jig goes into the hollow head of the octopus? It looks good!

Yes I am gonna put a lead jig in the head in various weights. Just depends on what conditions call for. Gonna make a mold and pour some various colors and just give it a shot in April. We will be kayaking so hopefully in the 4 days we are down I will cross paths with a cobia.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
