Social Distancing
My wife and I fished Saturday April 18th. Pier was very crowded, although almost everyone was practicing the 6 ft. rule. Only problem was some felt the need for a 15 - 20 foot distance by using multiple rods and taking up more than their share of the rail. Kudos to pier staff that came out multiple times to enforce the 1 rod rule! Don't know for sure but I think Saturday was the first day the crowd reached the magic 200 number. As we were leaving, they had put up barrels at the entrance, I assume because the limit of anglers had been reached. I'm sure the number of anglers will only increase in these final days, so everyone really needs to abide by the 1 rod rule. See ya'll soon.

Can you share that neat morph into the future trick?
And did you catch any fish? Great to see you on here, Tuck.

Fixed it. I had a brain fart I guess. Thanks Rich! Only landed 2 hardtails. Had 2 trout on, one sharked, one lost to piling.

Blankenship, in an interview with AL.com last month, said the state restricted crowd sizes to 200 on the pier at one time. He also said that state employees are monitoring social distancing to ensure that anglers were separated by at least 6 feet apart. But Blankenship also said that it was difficult to monitor. At least one fisherman, who visited the pier late last month, decided to fishing on the far northern end of the pier to avoid the large crowds that had gathered on other sections of it.
“I’m trying to stay away,” said Tony Nguyen, a Birmingham resident who drove to Gulf Shores to fish.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
