Like you, Bill, all I know is what I read. Owner guy, Chad, said he couldn't afford to keep it going and if someone didn't step up to buy it he would have to shut it down at the end of the year. Except for the occasional PCity post, everything had been pretty dead over there for a long time anyway. Even though we might post some trivial stuff from time to time, there's almost always something new to read, and if Slim and Fin aren't hibernating, cool pics. We even get to keep up with what Harley and Dale are catching from 400 miles away.
Reminds me to say "thank you" to our lately absent admin/techno/Bubba guy and Fin and whoever else does the work to keep this great resource alive.

I guess the $600 dollars he took me for by not supplying me the gaffs I paid for ran out.

The second time we did business is the time your thinking about,he blamed it on his son in law who he claimed sold the stainless to a scrap yard. He dug into it,told me what happened and that he was sorry and took care of it. Well, when gaffs started running low,I sent him a check in full and all I can say is shame on me....

Wow....I guess you have learned a lesson the hard way again....I brought 10 gaff's back with me this fall (9-4prong & 1-5prong) with enough stainless rod on the garage floor for another 12.....guess I'll have to make a grill rack & rotisserie for the fire pit on the back porch ....got a whole leg of lamb I need to grill (rotisserie)

Agree 100% Bill. Traffic, within reason, keeps a forum alive. Without new posts, people stop checking in. So new posts, even about something like football, are good things. I put a pic up of a hog on one of your gaffs. Just for fun, kind of trivial I know, but it was a slow news week.
Any story from the gulf with pictures makes my day. I have decided Mr. Harley is my hero. Man, I hope I still want to fish like that when I am his age. I hope I get to be his age.

I have never met this Chad guy but I thought it was always kind of CS of him the way he swooped in and grabbed everything he could as fast as he could get it when ecpff crashed. Obie built it up to what it was and he didn't get any of the benefits as far as I know. Now Chad is selling it? Something just doesn't sound right about it to me.

Im very thankful to those trivial and useful post that r put on this site. I look forward to reading them when i get home. Pics or no pics its the casual conversation that you guys have with each other that make me want to read whats going on. I belong to that other site but there was never enough post to keep me interested, and i wanted to know what was going on over there cause i have occassioally fished there. I hope somebody decides to start it up again.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
