Slot reds and Specks
I moved to Ft. Morgan from Atlanta 2 years ago and Joined the forum some time back. I am finally settled in and ready to learn fishing the pier regularly. I hope to get there this weekend with my son for some of the spanish action. But my question is regarding reds and specks from the pier. I have been reading where those catching them are finding them in the shallows. Is it best to fish them on the sand bar, or on the beach side.
Also, I get the impression it is not considered a good thing to use floats, so is it best just to carolina rig live shrimp, cut bait etc? I look forward to making new friends at the pier soon (if I can figure out who's who!)

Fort Morgan Point has been on fire for the early morning Speck/Red bite, just before dawn to 7-8am then it shuts down.

That Cat has been out of the bag, heck, it has been reported on local Morning Radio shows.Ragnar Benson:

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
