So I'm familiar with some of the slang terms used around here, but definitely not all of them. I did a quick search, but no one has ever made a slang guide! So what do you say? What are your favorite slang terms? You can even break it down into groups like fish names, jigs, rods, reels, areas, etc. Go!
When a fish takes a good run -smokin line -
When you know it's a good fish -I'm on -
Skyed- After strike, fish jumped out of the water
Choked- Set the hook too soon and missed the fish
Silver cricket- Weighted treble hook for snagging
Vapor trail- Trail a king leaves in the water after fast strike
Convict- Sheepshead
skinny water- Shallow

There's a lot more, but I'll leave that to others.

One i always wondered about when kings are discussed was a Smoker, do ya'll mean a big fast king or a smaller one perfect size for smoking?
