They were practicing just offshore of Mobile Street today doing some wild maneuvers in formation. It was the highlight of a dead day of fishing the beach-not so much as a single whiting. I did have a seagull run into one of my rigs which was the most action I saw all day. Off to try a new spot in the morning.

Wow!
Thanks for the reports though the catching was not good.
Dutch, if you chum with potato chips or bread you will get more 'gull action' ;-) lol(RETIRED) mostly.

I broke surf fishing rule #27...never eat Chips-Ahoy! cookies while waiting.
I think think the cooler temp of the bay and lower salinity had shit down the bite close to the tip of the peninsula.

Went to the Perdido pass from 9-12. Nothing. No live shrimp. Went back to Ft Morgan and got I bite. 20 minutes later a winsome black drum!! It almost spooled me. Thanks everyone. Go Fish!!!
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
