Crevalle Jack?
With a full spool and properly set drag, yes, more than enough.
Amberjack?
No.Ragnar Benson:

Haha for sure!! It can catch anything on the pier. Hooked a smaller tarpon and it handled just fine (just glad it didn't run out to far). Had 15 lb. Power Pro Slick 8 Blue then switched to Spiderwire Invisibraid White 15 lb. This is the Ci4+ 4000 Stradic 2nd gen with the EVA foam handle. Super smooth reel but I own the new ones as well and the Hagane Model is an excellent reel. As well as the FJ. Just pair it with a good rod and you're set.
Tie good knots, have quality equipment/tools, and take care of said equipment and you can't go wrong.Capt. Stephen Franklin

You definitely have the proof ! I have three of the new 4000 with power pro super slick 15lbs , two are on 7ft 6in duckett inshore med heavy and one on a duckett inshore heavy 7ft 6in , i was down for twelve days the end of May and June , caught bunch of Kings on xraps and they did great caught bunch of Bonita also . They are so light ,buddy thought i would have hard time with big Jack cravellas
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
